My Lifelong Love with Violin

Play in harmony...

Of all the instruments, the violin held a particularly special place in my heart. In junior high, I started saving every bit of money I could, completely determined to buy one for myself someday. It’s more than just an instrument to me, it represents a personal dream and a promise I made to my younger self.

Then, years later, when I was in university, everything changed. Alhamdulillah, I met my fiancé, and he’s the one who finally brought my childhood dream to life. He bought me that long-wished-for violin! But he didn't stop there. Not only did he get me the instrument I had dreamed of for years, but he also took the time to teach me how to play it. It’s been an incredible experience learning from him. Now, when I pick up the bow and hear that beautiful sound, it's not just the music of the violin, it’s the sound of a dream finally realized, all thanks to the love and generosity of my amazing partner.

Violin is a fascinating instrument

A violin is a stringed instrument with four strings, each tuned a perfect fifth apart. The lowest tone is G, and it has the highest range of the main violin family members (which include the viola and cello). Interestingly, other bowed string instruments, like the bass, technically belong to the viola family. When it comes to reading music, violin sheet music is almost always written in the G clef (or treble clef). And the people who play them? In English, they're called violinists, or sometimes fiddlers. The craftspeople who build or repair stringed instruments like the violin are known as luthiers. It's amazing to think about the dedication and skill that goes into both making and playing such a delicate and powerful instrument.

Do you have a favorite piece of music to listen to or play right now?

Here it is, the chocolate brownie recipe, the ingredients are eggs, sugar, compound dark chocolate, butter/margarine/cooking oil, vanilla, flour, and salt. You just only have to mix it all together then steam or bake it. There are some sprinkles that you can add, such as cheese, Oreo, almond, or chocolate chips.  Another variation of brownie made with brown sugar, it is called a blonde-brownie.
